Facebook Cover Size

If you have a Facebook page, you could want to custom-made design the Cover image. Picasa's Collection tool is a fantastic means to do this. If you are a Geeks on Tour member, we recently made a full  ‘Short Course’ on using the Collage tool. Facebook Cover Size. This pointer is taking just one item of that program and making it freely offered for all.

Facebook Cover Size.

The trick to earning a Facebook Timeline cover image is the measurements. Or, extra particularly the proportion of the size to size, called the Aspect Proportion. A bit of research turns up that Facebook's perfect ratio is 851X315. Not sure why it's 851-- that appears a little bit strange to me. 850X315 works fine.

To accomplish this with Picasa, you need to establish a personalized facet proportion. On either the Crop dimensions drop-down box, or the Page Layout drop-down box, you'll see the capacity to 'Add Personalized Element Proportion' at the end of the checklist. Pick that and simply go into 850X315. See a previous pointer: Resizing a Picture’s Height and Width.

Steps for a Collection to be a Facebook cover photo.

1. The appropriate aspect proportion for a Facebook cover image is 850X315 (see tutorial video clip: Resizing Pictures to width and height) Use the page style readying to alter to that proportion.

2. Re-crop the history image to the 850/315 ratio as well.

3. Diminish and also move 3 little photos to bottom right in order to include your account image (avatar) in Facebook.

4. Produce collection, then Export results. Select 850 as the export dimension (this is not needed, Facebook will resize as long as the proportions are right.).

5. Log into facebook as well as hover over your cover image, click where it states 'Modification Cover' and Upload the exported collage.

6. Conserve Changes.
